On behalf of our client HybriX Energy – a local and independent developer of grid-scale and industrial battery energy storage (BESS) projects, fully committed to the energy transition – we are looking for a Project Manager – Battery Storage Projects, who will be tasked with successfully managing the construction of battery energy storage projects through to completion.

Location: Antwerp region, with flexible home working option

Our client HybriX Energy is a local and independent developer of grid-scale battery energy storage (BESS) projects, actively engaged in the development, construction and operations of large-scale battery projects, and strongly committed to supporting the transition to a sustainable energy future.

To continue its ambitious expansion, HybriX Energy is looking for a highly motivated Project Manager – Battery Storage Projects to join their enthusiastic and dynamic team, passionate about energy storage and dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment.

As a Project Manager – Battery Storage Projects, you will work in a lean and agile environment, and your key role will be to successfully manage the construction of battery energy storage projects, including monitoring project planning, managing the predefined budgets and contracts with all suppliers, and stakeholder management with all parties involved. As a Project Manager, you will form a close-knit team with the Electrical Engineer and take ownership to ensure the projects are completed successfully and to a high standard.

Your key responsibilities will be as follows:

• Conduct daily site visits to oversee all aspects of battery-related construction activities in close collaboration with the Electrical Engineer, ensuring full compliance with project specifications and requirements
• Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies, to achieve project milestones
• Collaborate with local authorities to obtain all required construction permits within the necessary timelines
• Collaborate with ELIA (Transmission Network Operator) to secure a timely grid connection
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, grid requirements, and safety regulations
• Monitor the project planning
• Manage the predefined budgets and contracts with all suppliers, including thorough budget monitoring and control
• Perform risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard the quality and progress of the project
• Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports to the Management Team, ensuring clarity and actionable insights
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and battery storage advancements

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or similar
• You understand, speak, and communicate fluently about technical matters and feel confident in taking the lead in this area
• Relevant experience in technical project management or construction management in the renewable energy sector for at least 3 years
• Proven track record of successfully managing large projects (onshore, wind, or renewable power generation projects) is highly desirable
• Analytical mindset with an eye for details
• Solution oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with suppliers, team members, and stakeholders
• Knowledge of battery energy storage systems and related technologies is a plus
• You can work with AutoCAD, MS Project, Visio, and MS Office
• You have a startup mindset and are eager to dive into both new and familiar challenges
• You are fluent in Dutch and English
• You live in Belgium
